This is the Have a Heart Children's Cancer Society Fundraising Ideas page. We have received a lot of e-mails & requests from people of "how one can help". If you had also wanted some ideas for your Have a Heart Fundraisers, then this page is for you! Hopefully this will guide you as to how to organize your event & help you in the planning.
To make this idea page flow better, I set up 3 tiers:
HAVE A HEART CHARITY EVENT: (These are typically annual charity functions that require charity personnel to help organize, new ideas are welcome!)
BENEFIT OUTING FUNDRAISING IDEAS: (These require a small committed team to organize, invite friends, family, & coworkers to the outing, these are loads of fun)
GRASSROOTS FUNDRAISING IDEAS: (These are fun and fairly easy to put together, great for kids to get involved helping other kids!) Now, here are some FUNDRAISING IDEAS: (Starting from the bottom tier to the top)

INTERNET FUNDRAISERS: HAVE A HEART CHARITY E-AUCTION:
This is a new & fun fundraising idea that utilizes the Internet through EBAY! - Get your: Job Office, Company, Neighbors, Family, Friends, Sports Team, Club, Organization, Church, Temple, or School involved!
HOW TO CREATE YOUR HAVE A HEART BENEFIT EBAY AUCTION: A) All you need is to choose a representative from your fundraiser organizers whom has an EBAY account or will open an EBAY account for this. B) Take a collection of items from those that wish to take part in the Fundraiser, ask for items with a minimum value of $50 to increase the probability of success for the auction. C) When you list your items for sale, select to “donate a percentage of sale” which is in the “selling format” category, then “select a non profit”. In “select a non profit” type in the words “Have a Heart Children’s Cancer Society”, it should find us quickly. At this point you may be prompted to set up a “Missionfish” account. This is a necessary step and should take you only 2 minutes, this is just a liaison company that is EBAY certified, that allows you to be able to donate a percentage of your auction items sale price to the charity. Again, select “Have a Heart Children’s Cancer Society” from the non profit list, then choose your percentage of sale price. If you are doing a Fundraiser or Benefit for us you can select 100% of proceeds aka “percentage of sale”.
D) List all the items that you have collected, be sure to add a complete description & add pictures, and to start the auction items with no reserve, if items are worth up to $100 then start the auction bids at $15 & list for 10 days, if you wanted your fundraiser to start at all the same time to make it competitive amongst your donors, you have that option on EBAY as well.
E) Once all items are listed, the CHARITY AUCTION IS ON!, watch for bids each day!, It will be exciting to watch for all involved & when the auction closes everyone involved will have the satisfaction that their donated items translated into vital funds to directly assist the afflicted families & children of the Have a Heart Children’s Cancer Society.
